Beas Kund is a high altitude alpine lake that sits royally amidst the mountains of Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 3,700 meters. It is the origin of the River Beas. At a distance of 28 km from Manali Bus Stand and 15 km from Solang Valley, Beas Kund a historic place, it is believed that Sage Vyas used to take his daily bath here; Beas Kund is hence regarded as sacred by the Hindus.

The Beas Kund is protected by an igloo like stone structure and is considered sacred by the Hindus. The site has attracts thousands of devotees every year. The current name Beas is formed from Sage Vyas who is the author of Mahabharata. The ancient Indians called the Beas River as Vipas or Arjiki while the ancient Greeks called it as Hyphasis. 

Beas Kund trek is one of the most popular and beautiful trek in Kullu Valley. Solang Nalla base camp is 13 km from Manali and 1 hour drive, a popular place for tourists for ski slopes, para gliding etc. Dhundhi camp gives first glimpse of Mt. Hanuman Tibba and Seven Sisters. Beas Kund area might be full of snow at the time of this trek.

This is enjoyable and easy going trek for any age group. The Beas Kund Trek, which is considered as one of the easiest treks in the Himachal Himalayan region is also a short trek of three days.
